WHAT'S GOING ON |
|
JANUARY 2007 |
|
~*~RELEASE~*~

AMEREIDA is kicking off
2007 with their latest offering: "STREETS", with original compositions
from Jorge & Stephanie, and a rendition of the 1950's icon "Fever".
Stephanie's lyrics reveal her mystical approach to life that
interacting organically with the modern urban electronic palette that is
the signature of Jorge's musical compositions, portraits a parallel
world where the infinite past is embodied into the present . This album
is rich and exhilarating, both in its essence and in its form. It's
World Music, it's Jazz, it's Latin, it's Avant-roots, the label is not
important, it's joyful music for listening, for dancing, for dancing,
for listening....

"AMEREIDA AND
NESTOR TORRES" together giving the good vibes of music!
Yes that was exactly what it was :
Nestor Torres, the great jazz flute player was our guest in the
concert that we gave at the SGI Study Festival which was held at
Nova South Eastern University in Davie on October the 10th. He
performed UMBAYé and STREETS with us and we did also
a "Flute Extravaganza" with Stephanie joining Jorge and Nestor
with her flute. The crowd was just amazing with standing
ovations after every song. It was a delightful and mesmerizing
experience for us musicians and we truly believe for them too,
the audience, . We want to thank Nestor Torres (what a cool
guy), and also all the people at SGI who made this possible.
Angelo, Moshe, Edna, Mija and Heather.

(races)gigs~*~

NETOR TORRES & AMEREIDA
COOL !!! World renown flute artist
and Latin Grammy Award winner Nestor Torres came by our gig at "Chocolada"
last Saturday invited by our common friend and personal manager
Angelo Maybin. It was a nice surprise for us and for all the
people who were gathering there. He was truly emotional about
our music and was full of compliments for our stuff. He was so
motivated (and very kind BTW) that he invited us to join him the
very next day 2/22/04 to perform with him at his concert at the
Gulfstream Park in Hallandale. That night our gig at "Chocolada"
finished quite late due to the Mardi Gras that was held all over
Hollywood. (Our schedule became tight). We had to be at the
Gulfstream Park the very next day at 10:00am for the sound
check, and after that we went to Nestor's dressing room to
rehearse for the concert that was scheduled at 2:30 pm. Knowing
that Stephanie also plays flute, Nestor asked her to join him
and Jorge with her flute for some very cool flute trios. Man,
that was something!!
It was a great experience playing and sharing with a great
flute artist like Nestor Torres. The crowd was thrilled!
This concert also featured musician extraordinaire and living
legend Chuck Mangione and his band. |

created a new tune for this event. This music, which rocks, was
inspired by the coolness that's in the air at South Beach.

creative people from the advertisement industry, coming from all
over the planet.
AMEREIDA

invitation to perform at the
BANK OF AMERICA DIVA LATINA Festival.
This month the Festival featured The Latin Divas. Stephanie
Mair, AMEREIDA's

Press Release
New Album from Amereida "Mambo Novo" available now!

The greatest hits from the bossa
nova era, plus a dab of Latin flavor is the recipe for
Amereida's newly released album
"Mambo Novo."
From "Girl of Ipanema" to "Corcovado"
to "Casa Forte", Amereida brings back the memory of these
classics without loosing that particular Amereida sound. In the
remake of the classic bolero "Inolvidable", Amereida rewrote the
lyrics for an English version of the song, thus creating the new
concept of bolero in English.
Due to the mixture of Samba, Bossa nova, Jazz and Chachacha, Mambo
Novo has a very danceable sense to it, unique to the Miami
sound.

MARCH 2002 |

In between all
our shows we have been working nonstop to get the CD's that you
guys have been waiting for. Yes, it has been crazy, working day
and night, ups and downs, driving through so many states of
being. I must say that to be independent and challenge ourselves
to make two CD's at a time sounds crazy, but sometimes we need
high mountains to clime and if we get half way, it's a success.
Besides doing all these recordings, we have been designing the
CD covers. On both we have used pictures from photo shootings
that, our friend and also phenomenal
photographer, Leo Reinfield (with cre8me.com) took at a
private session as
well as at "The
Choreographer's Ball."
We will give
you the best of ourselves, and would like to express to all of
you how much we appreciate your support!!
Well, on the
other hand we are very happy to announce the work we are doing
at WordBeatGroup studio with the very talented musician Peter
Betan. We are producing his latest album and also co writing
with him. This has been another exciting venture besides AMEREDA.
Some songs from this joint venture will be featured on up
comings AMEREIDA's CD's.

~*~Currents~*~
Amereida has spent most of these long dog days of summer in the
studio. Although they have had other artists come in and record
their own work, they have miraculously have found time in these
short 24-houred days to record. They have been working on the
finalization of their up-coming 4th album ( so fans out there,
don't change the station). In this album, there is the presence
of invited artists, Pablo Malco, Edwin Bonilla, and Daniel
Guzman. Pablo Malco choreographer and rapper of PFuzion, who
has recorded in two of the tracks of the album, adds a
delicious Caribbean scent. Edwin Bonilla, world-renown
percussionist, who recorded in Umbaye" as the head percussionist
of the album contributes with a blood-boiling essence to the
recordings with his ever magic touch. Guitar player Daniel
Guzman, member and founder of "Lunabelle", puts in a
magical sound that embraces the music of the album with a very
palatable piquancy. All these condiments plus many other
components make this album a flight through a world of many
savors. Amereida described their upcoming album as a
magical trip to the essence of many airs of life such as love,
passion, relationships, despair, mysticism, and a pure
urge to dance.
